Britain's club culture is "as strong as it ever was" according to the promoters of last weekend's Godskitchen festival which sold out all 35,000 tickets. In a triumphant press release mocking the "demise of many of its competitors" the Midland's based superclub poured scorn on rival clubbing brands, mocking,
"Too many UK promoters (have been) tarnished with the failings of two specific northern clubs."

"Global Gathering 2002 has been a huge success with us filling the 35,000 site full to capacity on the day. Many festivals this year have been struggling but I think our carefully booked, DJ focused line ups, imaginative and extravagant production alongside the unique Godskitchen party atmosphere, made Global Gathering 2002 the incredible success that it was," added Godskitchen chief Chris Griffith.
