UK garage collective So Solid Crew have been confirmed for this year's Homelands festival just days after being challenged by rival popsters Westlife and Another Level's Dane Bowers.

The 30 strong crew were dissed (disrespected) at the Brit Awards, by an apparently drunk member of Westlife (Bryan; "hardly the meanest gangsta rapper on the block" as Music Week put it), then set upon by Dane Bowers, well known for regularly fighting with Mark Morrison.

"I punched one of them to break the fight up," Bowers told the Sun. "Another of them went to hit me but when they saw it was me they stopped. They think they're really hard but I know the people that bullied them at school. I'm not scared of them- I'd scrap (fight) them any day."

So Solid's Harvey also slammed their infamous predecessors The Sex Pistols this week, branding them "mad druggies" with a totally different vibe from So Solid.

"We drink champagne, but we don't all take lots of Es (ecstasy) and go off our heads," Harvey told the Observer.
