Police using sniffer dogs to carry out random searches of passers-by have been banned from operating in Lambeth over concerns that the dogs terrify members of Brixton's West Indian community."It is a cultural thing," a police "source" told the Sun. "Some of the local West Indian population find dogs very frightening and believe they have connotations with the slave trade."
6 teams of drug sniffer dogs are currently operating in the capital, checking out people as they enter and leave tube stations.
