Slinky, recognised worldwide as the blueprint for 21st century clubbing, is returning once more to Melbourne for a spectacular Queens Birthday Weekend event at Melbourne Park.

Launched in 1997 in the UK at The Opera House in Bournemouth, Slinky, in less than five years, has become one of the highest profile clubs in the world. Highly respected and acclaimed by the press, leading DJ's and most importantly the clubbers, the sheer strength of its rapidly growing following has seen it expand to a level that's nothing short of a global phenomenon.

Testament to this are stadium tours that have taken in countries like Finland, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, The Philippines and Czechoslovakia.

And with a guiding principle of "give the people what they want", that's exactly what Melbourne can expect when Slinky and Future Entertainment present no less than eight big name internationals and Australia's best over three arenas at Melbourne Park on Sunday 9th June from 10pm to 7am.

Embracing the Slinky music policy of "blow the roof off", the Slinky Main Arena will present DJ's Guy Ornadel (UK), Steve Thomas (UK) and The Sharp Boys (UK) with locals Jason Midro and Ajax vs Scott Alert. The Slinky Progressive To Tech Area will meanwhile present DJ's Lucien Foort (Holland), Billy Nasty (UK), Oliver Ho (UK), Barry Jamieson (UK) and John Creamer (USA) alongside locals Kasey Taylor and Richie Rich, with the Slinky Deep To House Room offering up DJ's Sam Fraser, Barrie Barton, Dean Cherny, Tony and Daniel Vid and Mark Dicristo.

Guy Ornadel, one of the world's leading trance DJ's, is a regular at the UK's superclubs and a mainstay of the international circuit, taking in all the top clubs across the globe. A manager, as well as a DJ, Ornadel looks after the affairs of people likes Sasha, Steve Lawler and Sander Kleinenberg. When behind the decks himself though, Guy's trademark combination of Dutch trance and German stompers keep dance floors fast and firing - the bond between himself and the crowd acknowledged by the energy given off as he maneuvers from one track to the next. His releases include those as part of the 'License To Thrill' series and Slinky's own compilation which increased both Guy's and the club's great acclaim.

A resident at the famous Trade club since 1993, the appeal of Steve Thomas has spread and spread over the years with guests spots at places like Cream, Sundissential, Vague, BugJam and Ministry Of Sound. He has also been a summer resident for Trade at Privilege in Ibiza for four years, and a regular visitor to Japan, USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, Canada and Australia. One of the highlights of Steve's career though was his residency alongside Danny Tenaglia at Twilo in New York. For the past four years Thomas has been voted into DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ's, and as one of the innovators of the hard house sound with Tony DeVit, Steve's unique sound has since developed a fresher, more melodic and sexy style, which is winning fans wherever he travels.

Sharp Boys are resident DJ's at the legendary Heaven in London and Turnmills' Trade all-nighter, spinning their unique blend of US underground house and garage. Over the past five years they have guested at some of the UK's biggest club nights and events including Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Progress, Sundissential, Miss Moneypenny's, Creamfields and Love Parade. Internationally the boys have been busy too, having toured Hong Kong, South Africa and Japan annually. Steven and George have also spun in Hungary, Las Vegas and in Ibiza at clubs such as Manumission and Space.

Rotterdam's Lucien Foort is emerging as dance's new superstar, gaining respect from the likes of Sasha, Nick Warren, Jimmy Van M and Dave Seaman. His own productions are unique in their fusion of smooth progressive house and tough tech tones. Lucien has been producing
