Gatecrasher are to launch a residency at Central London venue Heaven this March, which will be the first time the Northern superclub has attempted to tackle the capital. Gatecrasher's move (reported in Music Week) should prove interesting since the club's best known icon- the glow stick waving, face painted Crasherkid, failed to catch on in London except amongst some elements of the psi-trance/ hard house scenes.

According to Paul Van Dyk, the club's best known former resident DJ, Gatecrasher's clientele appears to have changed in recent times, anyway .

"I'm really puzzled as to what happened to the Gatecrasher kids, do they exist anymore-" he asks in the latest issue of Mix Mag.

"I couldn't see any in April the last time I was there. When I go back I'll see what's going on with them."
