Lengendary independent compilations label Beechwood have purchased a stake in seminal dance label React, following the departure of React co-founder Thomas Foley. Foley's erstwhile partner James Horrocks will be continuing as React's sole Managing Director with the rest of the company's staff being unaffected by the change.

"Beechwood Music have always admired and respected React and when it was made known that Thomas Foley wished to sell his half-ownership and move on to other projects, it was the ideal opportunity to cement this long-term relationship", said Beechwood chief Bee Storey in a press statement.

James Horrocks was equally enthusiastic, explaining, "I was keen to ensure React's independence after Thomas's departure and wanted to continue working alongside like-minded individuals. I'm delighted with the news and believe there is no better place for React than at Beechwood".

Both Foley and Horrocks have been leading lights of Britain's dance scene since establishing React as one of the first dance compilation labels, with Horrocks remaining DJ magazine's official trance reviewer. Notable collections React have released include their million selling Reactivate series and Happy Hardcore series Bonkers while the label shortly releases new collections from Danny Rampling, Jeff Mills and Carl Craig. Foley is reportedly "exploring opportunities in the entertainment industry both outside and within the dance music arena."
