Private Eye Join Tim Westwood's Haters

Satirical magazine Private Eye has accused Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood of being completely unable to mix, in a curious diversion from their usual editorial mix of scandals, high society tittle-tattle and mainstream politics. The hatchet job focused on one of Westwood's DJ appearances at Fabric last March where he appeared alongside fellow Radio 1 jocks.

"When the time came for Westwood to take to the decks, he could not even work the equipment, one of his crew had to work out," claimed Private Eye.

"Neither could he switch from his first record to his second- somewhat fundamental for a DJ."

The article coincided with a Westwood feature in DJ magazine, in which the 40 something vicar's son (still best known for his fake American on air persona) was asked whether he cared about "Ali G" taunts.

"Nah, they don't get it," he said. "They're not part of this, hip hop's not a part of their lives. Fuck that bullshit, they don't understand and that's their loss not mine."
