Positiva's Dis-Incentive: Who's Number 1-

Incentive Records had more UK top 40 hits than Positiva last year, says Incentive's Anthony Hamer-Hodges in a letter published in the new issue of The Face, complaining that his label was recently omitted from the magazine's "dance label of 2001" poll.

"Positiva probably do deserve the accolade of 2001's most successful label, but if you're going to use specific criteria at least try to be consistent," says Hamer-Hodges.

Whether his boss, Incentive label owner Nick Halkes spotted the error remains unclear, though he did happen to found and run EMI imprint Positiva until 1999.
