The London estate agent murdered as he parked his car in Battersea two weeks ago may have been killed for complaining about a local pirate radio station, according to a report in this week's Evening Standard.

According to the newspaper, the illegal radio station shut down within hours of 25 year old Tim Robinson being stabbed to death, as he parked his car outside his south London flat.

Meanwhile, the alleged killer of a DJ from one of London's best know pirates denied being responsible for stabbing to death 32 year old Franklin Byam from Freek FM.

Karate expert Ian McSween, who ironically gave regular fighting lessons to Tony Blair's children Euan, Nicky and Kathy, appeared in the Old Bailey accused of killing Mr Byam in a row over a girlfriend. The murder allegedly happened at the girlfriend's flat in Chalk Farm, North London last year, when McSween discovered Mr Franklin, an ex boyfriend of his girlfriend in the flat.

Both killings coincide with rapidly escalating gun crime in London, which the Sunday Times claimed this week is linked to Jamaican "Yardie" crime gangs, who they suggested have subdivided London into territories.

"In this country, the opposition gangs' stronghold is in Brixton, South London, while the ruling party's gangs are based in Harlesden, north London" they said.
