Percy X- Some Of My Best Friends Are English

Glaswegian techno producer Percy X welcomed England's progress from the group stage of the World Cup this week, disproving the commonly held view that Scottish people hate England (football team).

"Some of my best friends are English," he quipped. "There's no way I'd slag them off, I've got a lot of time for people down there."

"I thought England were wicked against Argentina, shocking against Sweden and a bit of a let down against Nigeria," he told Skrufff's Jonty Adderley speaking on Thursday.

"I think they'll struggle unless they get it together. They just seemed to do the job which could be a good thing. Argentina and France are out, so they've got a chance. Sven's a good manager but I don't think the team's strong enough.

You've got a chance and I hope you do well, but I don't think you'll win the World Cup, Brazil will."
