New York's Body & Soul To Close

Body & Soul, the New York clubbing institution run by veteran DJs Francois K, Joe Claussell and Danny Krivit, is to close this weekend (July 21), after six years of Sundays in New York City.

"Recently, I was notified of a most disturbing turn of events; the news that our sister party, Body and Soul is closing," said Club Shelter's Kevin Hedge in a curious message on Shelter's website.

"Body and Soul has been a very important part of New York nightlife and the underground soulful scene. I have great respect for their efforts over the past 6 years."

"There are no plans to continue Body & Soul in the immediate future," a spokesperson confirmed to Skrufff. "But who knows; anything can happen longer term".

Bpdy & Soul's last party takes place this weekend (Sunday July 21) with Danny Krivit playing a set of anthems and classics. Francois K, who plays for Whistlebump at the End on Saturday night, will also be returning to New York immediately after he finishes his London set to DJ at the Manhattan club on Sunday night.
