DJs including Adam X, Pow Pow and ESE were set to join Drug Policy Alliance chief Ethan Nadelmann at this Friday's New York demonstration against the draconian anti club R.A.VE. act, taking place at Foley Square, downtown Manhattan (between 2pm and 6pm, Friday September 6).

"If you plan to dance in New York ever again we need your help," said protest organisers in a statement.

"The R.A.V.E Act is a national threat and you all need to be involved. Please call your senator and let them know it is a direct hit to your Civil Liberties."

Organisers of the demonstrations in Washington DC, San Francisco and LA also urged clubbers to contact their Senators to register their disapproval of the bill (s.2633)

"Tell them that innocent business owners shouldn't be punished for the activities of their customers. Tell them this bill has dangerous anti-civil liberties provisions that they need to be aware of, and that it's a threat to public health."

Senators can be contacted through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.
