Moby's launch of a Manhattan tea shop has coincided with London tea parties enjoying a "fashionable renaissance", according to a report in this week's Evening Standard.

"Darjeeling and genteel chat around multi-tiered silver cake stands have replaced drunkenness and debauchery in China White (top Toff hangout) as a key aspirational lifestyle statement," the Standard claimed.

"How the Power Tea Party scene develops remains to be seen but all evidence suggests for the time being at least, it's still in the ascendancy."

Moby's New York tea shop Teany (presumably standing for Tea- NY) will be selling 80 varieties of the quintessential British drink, and is "one of hundreds springing up across Manhattan (The Sun").

In music news, Moby's new single We Are All Made Of Stars, debuted at 11 on the British pop charts, a somewhat unimpressive placing, given his near total media coverage of late.
