Massive Attack's 3D has helped fund a design a double page advert in this week's NME calling for no war on Iraq. The advert quotes former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark, who calls for the young generation to emulate Vietnam era anti-war protests, and Tony Benn, one of Britain's most respected and experienced politicians.

"If the US attacks Iraq it will be a crime against humanity and if Britain goes along with it, we will be guilty too," says Mr Benn.

"The best chance of stopping it is to bring massive pressure to bear on the British Government before it starts."

In more Massive Attack news, Strut are to release a compilation CD the Wild Bunch, based on the tunes the original trio used to play when then started out as a sound system crew in the 80s. DJ Milo handles the track selection, with additional shouts from Daddy G appearing throughout. Ironically, a message posted on the band's website last week, seemed to suggest Daddy G has left the band, with 3D saying he's the only band member working on their brand new album "anytime".
