Felix Da Housecat has remixed Luke Slater's new single Stars And Heroes, into a new electro style version that could see the former techno king crossing over alongside the likes of Tiga and Fischerspooner. The track is the second single from his impressively innovative new album All Or Nothing that's seen the Brighton based former technohead fully embracing song-writing, apparently as a result of listening to Radiohead.

Radiohead really inspired me, as somebody who's managed to successfully bring an electronic synth into a rock song," he told Skrufff's Benedetta Ferraro recently.

"I thought maybe I could come from the other way, instead of coming from the rock world, coming from the dance scene and bring that feeling into a dance song."

"I've always seen love songs as not particularly happy songs. For me there's a lot of love in the almost depressing pain of love, rather than the actual flowery aspects of it. A loss of love is almost part of love itself," he added.

The new single comes out on June 24 and includes a downtempo piano instrumental with distinct echoes of his label mate Moby, which should also aid the status of Slater's highly impressive recent album.

"I figure it can go either way, it could become really big or not big at all," he admitted. "I know it's a good album. It's what I want to hear, and there must be people out there who feel the same as I do."
