London's Mayor Copies Giuliani

Free party revellers should be herded into giant cages, drug tested, and arrested, according to a new proposal from London's Mayor Ken Livingstone. The previously open-minded politician revealed his new Mayor Giuliani-style attitude in a letter to MTV, after a squat party at the TV channel's headquarters in Camden caused damage to the empty premise.

"I would like to see the city workers and the like who attend these parties rounded up and held in giant holding facilities," Livingstone revealed.

"Maybe if these people who work in the city during the week and who think there's nothing wrong with taking cocaine at weekends came under threat of a jail sentence, they might not do it," he added.

The Mayor went on to claim that most squat party ravers are cocaine using "middle-class people on large salaries" revealing a deep ignorance of the true nature of the squat parties (most revellers are from outside the UK, or homeless young Brits and students.)
