LA's Christopher Lawrence On the Death of the UK Dance Scene

Britain's dance scene has peaked, the press release accompanying Christopher Lawrence's new progressive trance mix CD Around The World claimed this week, in an unusual approach to promoting a new compilation.

"While the UK phenomenon is beginning to fade, Christopher Lawrence's star continues to rise and is right on course to be the next mega-DJ to breakthrough," the press release claimed.

Whether they're correct about the UK is open to question but Lawrence's CD, coming out on LA independent label Moonshine, should appeal to all fans of Sasha, Digweed and their ilk. Around The World, including tracks from Marc Auerbach, Mark Lowndes and Sonik Kross is out mid February.
