Electronic experimentalists The Black Dog are set to release a new EP form their critically acclaimed recent album Unsavoury Products, which includes a brand new Black Dog track plus three mixes from Jimmy Cauty (KLF), Jon Marsh (The Beloved) and A1 People.

The new Black Dog track is typically called Unsavoury Products (and is NOT on the album) and is a distinct step back to the chilled electronica they remain acclaimed for. While Jimmy Cauty's mix of Invisible Things is a deep house version complete with subliminal messages, Jon Marsh delivers a 9 minute breakdown packed take of Wishing Well.

"Creative experimentation is barely tolerated within any musical genre today," the band told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"We used to celebrate individual ideas and breaking away from the norm, but now it's barely accepted, and there is almost no outlet remaining to present your art. Increasingly we are making art for other artists; they are the people that provide us with our inspiration and positive feedback."

Reconstituted Meat Derivatives is out on July 14, on Hydrogen Dukebox Records.
