Nag Nag Nag, the thriving electro Wednesday event run by Gigolo-man Jonny Slut, is teaming up with ultra-fashionable monthly Electric Stew to host a series of Saturday night events at London's Sahara Nights (formerly the Crossbar). Boy George plays a special Bat Cave themed set on the opening night on November 9, recalling the days when Slut played keyboards for Specimen, the house band at the seminal Goth club.

"The Batcave and Specimen were really pre-Goth, the term Goth didn't really emerge until 1984, while the Batcave started in 1982," Jonny corrected Skrufff recently.

"It's also always been a term of derision; it's never been a positive label. It's got all those connotations of teenagers taking themselves far too seriously. We weren't Goth, we were glamorous."

With additional guests on following weeks including Andy Weatherall and Adam Sky (aka Adamski) Electric Stew Jacked is likely to be rammed with glamorous, dressed up clubbers though there's no chance Jonny will be reforming Specimen.

"Reforming Specimen is my worst nightmare," he revealed.

"I hate it when bands reform. Though I did hear we've just been offered massive amounts of money to do some gigs in Germany and I was like 'No'. It just becomes cabaret and cheapens anything you're doing in the present."

Tickets cost £10 before 11pm and the club is certain to be road-blocked for all four dates.
