Italian authorities in Ostia (a coastal town similar to Brighton, some 30km outside Rome) are to introduce early morning chill out areas for clubbers who've been out all night, to try and reduce the carnage caused in multiple car crashes.

The scheme has reportedly been welcomed by club owners who have agreed to supply cappuccinos, croissants, and newspapers after closing time (Il Messaggero). The new chill out areas are to be called "decompression corners".
