Pete Tong, Paul Van Dyk and Erick Morillo headline Northern Ireland's Planet Love Festival on September 21st, which is being staged by local dance magazine BBM. Taking place at Shane's Castle on the shores of Lough (Lake) Neagh, the festival runs from 1pm on Saturday through 'til 3am Sunday morning, the latest such licence ever granted in Northern Ireland. The 5 arena event represents a bold move for BBM tying in with a fierce editorial by Judith Farrell, BBM's editor in chief in the current issue.

"It's time we grabbed this scene by the balls and got our asses out into the clubs and festivals," said Judith.

"While the rest of the UK is being dragged under by self-destructive comments by magazines like Mixmag and Muzik who should know better, and gluttonous clubbing 'front men' who seem to have lost the spirit of clubbing somewhere 'between the lines' and their profit margins, Ireland has been busy building itself a dance scene infrastructure that is now ready to coax the UK out of its doldrums."

Line-up details announced so far include: Pete Tong, Paul Van Dyk, Erick Morillo, Fergie, Layo & Bushwaka Live, Mr C, Yousef, Jon Carter, Scott Project, Justin Robertson, M.I.K.E./Push, Andy Farley, Rachel Auburn, FC Kahuna, Joy Kitikonti, John OO Flemming and Anne Savage. More DJs will be announced nearer the event.
