Honeysmack bangs it with Britney

After being chosen as the exclusive support act for the only Australian live appearance by the delicious Britney Spears, things have been crazy for Australia's own sex symbol of electronica, Honeysmack. Following his trip to Sydney to play at the Lucid party, Honeysmack then headed north again to appear with Britney at Fox Studios. Add this to his appearance on 'Pepsi Live' with a string quartet to play his new single titled 'Dance', plus an appearance the same day on Channel V, and it's all been rather hectic.

The single 'Dance' is released in the next few weeks and has Honeysmack playing disco hardball with a string-laden track that bridges the gap between nightspot-style dance and party-style techno. And as a special extra, the single also features the rocking Spiderbait doing their own heavier guitar version of the track. This was done in exchange for Honeysmack remixing the group's 'Bo Bo' track which is available on Spiderbait's latest single release.

Honeysmack's live electronic assaults have taken him to dance parties and festivals around Australia, and around the world, having played alongside artists like Jeff Mills, Freddy Fresh, Basement Jaxx, Luke Slater, Fatboy Slim, Green Velvet and others - and he'll be appearing live once more when he next plays, performing at Hard Kandy on Friday 3rd May.

Released on the Jive Electro label, the simply-titled 'Dance' is taken from the equally simply-tilted and forthcoming album 'Rock'.

Honeysmack . . . keeping it uncomplicated for ALL Australians.
