Homelands Predict Jubilee Weekend Will Be Sunny

Winchester is likely to be bathed in sunshine next week with the hot weather holding until at least Sunday (June 2), according to a press release issued today (Friday 24th May) by the event's PRs. While last year was dry, in 2000, torrential rain created Glastonbury style mudbath conditions and forced hundreds of VIPs to dance in literally inches of water (the guest tent is located at the bottom of Matterley Bowl).

This year's weather forecast is particularly significant because next weekend's Golden Jubilee celebrations will see more outdoor parties in the UK than for any other weekend of the year. According to Homelands Met forecast, it should be sunny at least up until Sunday.
