Britain's upcoming Golden Jubilee celebrations look set to spark a marketing led punk revival, judging by several releases coming out in the UK over the next 2 months (Jubilee weekend is June 1st).

EMI (ironically the label immortalised by the Sex Pistols in 1977) lead the pack with a release by erstwhile king of commercial trance Ferry Corsten, who's putting out an electro 80s style track called "Punk" (via Positiva).

Another EMI release pursuing the punk theme is Bunch Of Guru's "Punk Cake", an impressively funky house dirty house tune with massive potential.

Vocals are provided by Colombian born Italian Emilia Majello who"oozes the kind of sassy sex appeal that gave Siouxsie Sioux and Blondie their distinct allure, the press release suggests.

The Sex Pistols are also releasing their all-time classic God Save The Queen with remixes by one of the Leftfield producers.

Punk Cake comes out on new EMI imprint Prolifica on June 8.
