Glastonbury's 20 Mile Exclusion Zone

Police and security guards will be carrying out random spot checks on anybody approaching Glastonbury this weekend as part of a massive security operation to keep out gatecrashers.

According to this week's NME, police have also established a 15-20 mile (22-27km) parking exclusion zone around the festival, a move unprecedented in Britain before. Festival organisers have also introduced for the first time a £5 charge for each car, parking in the sites surrounding the site's perimeter.
