The Friends of Bali Party is a fundraising charity event intent on delivering 100% of its proceeds directly to the affected Balinese community via the local Red Cross, Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI).

The event is being co-ordinated by a professional events team and occurs at Area 61 Fitzroy St, St Kilda on
Saturday November 9th, 2002.

Most Australians are Friends of Bali. If you haven't been to Bali, you know someone that has. The bond between the Australian and Balinese people is one of warmth, fun and respect.

After the bombing on October 12, 2002 tourism, the only significant industry on the island has been severely affected. The people of Bali are now suffering as their fundamental social and economic stability is being challenged.

Our friends need our help.

Our long term vision is to help re-establish Bali as a safe and beautiful island to visit. The party's goal is to assist the local Balinese with health care and economic relief during these tragic times.

Some of Melbourne's finest DJ's have offered their services and local businesses are offering products and services for our raffle and door prizes on the night, with Area 61 providing the venue in St Kilda, and some of the cities most influential promoters lending their support to ensure a large turnout.

A good turnout will ensure a largest donation to the people of Bali. We feel that whilst the benefactors of the night will be motive enough for many, incentives will help us encourage others to attend.

We hope that you can support our efforts and donate products or services. These products and services will be used as incentives. All our sponsors will be recognised in all promotional material and a digital projector will be displaying sponsors logo's on the night.

Refuel your spirit! Join us in celebrating the happiness and laughter and help us rebuild the paradise that is Bali.

Kind Regards,

The Friends of Bali
