Eminem Versus Moby: Black Propaganda-

Cartoon rapper Eminen slammed both Moby and techno this week in a curiously anti-rave rant on Britain's Radio 1. "I hate techno music, I'm sorry but I can't stand it," Eminen told breakfast show presenter Sara Cox.

"Like, when I used to be on drugs it used to blow (ruin) my high and like now that I can't be on drugs it blows my high even worse. So just for the record, I hate techno music, so no matter how good Moby is, it's not going to change anything."

Emimen's bizarre verbal tirade followed unprecedented attacks on club culture by senior US politicians and came just months after the Bush administration admitted they'd established a black propaganda "psyops" organisation to spread media disinformation. With Moby being one of the few US artists brave enough to criticise American policy since 9/11, Eminen's comments appear remarkably pro establishment, given his previously anti-authoritarian stance.

A potentially similar case involving the FBI and Hollywood actress Jean Seberg was recently reported in the Guardian, involving the FBI planting a malicious and false story against the radical actress during the 70s. The FBI disseminated a story through mainstream media including Newsweek suggesting that the married film star had got pregnant by a leading Black Panther, which eventually led her to commit suicide, a broken woman.

"It is felt that the possible publication of Seberg's plight could cause her embarrassment and serve to cheapen her image with the general public," an FBI memo at the time said.

With Moby continually criticising George Bush on his website each week could Emimen have been unwittingly recruited-
