Earthdance October 12- Global Dance Party for Peace

On Saturday October 12, Earthdance unites the world for planetary peace and freedom in Tibet with a synchronised global dance party held in 100 locations linked by a 12-hour cybercast over the internet.

Since 1998, Earthdance Melbourne has combined music, dance, technology and spirituality and this year is no exception with a free daytime festival at Gasworks Park, Port Melbourne followed by a club benefit night at Colonial Hotel, King Street, Melbourne.

Earthdance Festival will open at 11am with The Guyto Monks of Tibet and the party features a garden marquee dancefloor featuring Melbourne's finest artists (Sugar Live, Mantrix Live,

Miss Rene, Inner Realm, Blue Lama, Aaron Smiles), workshops (Yoga; Chi kung & Tai Chi; West African drumming; Belly dancing; Wushu; Spontaneous Choir; Meditation; Peace, Empowerment & the Violet Flame; Developing intuition through art; and a Tibetan Buddhist teaching - Precious Human Birth) healing space (massage; shiatsu; acupuncture; iridology; TCM), markets, acoustic stage, kids disco dome, community stalls, roaming performers, fantastic decor and installation art.

Located at Gasworks Park, cnr of Pickles & Graham St Port Melbourne, this is an all ages, free entry festival 11am - sunset.

Earthdance Club Benefit night will feature Mark Allen (Quirk, Return to the Source) supported by a strong local and interstate lineup over three floors including Sally Doolally, Ozzy, Olli Olsen, Jammin, Andrew Haig, Spock, Benza, Billy the Kid, Morpheas, Nirav, Andrew Till (Psy Harmonics), Dom Hogan, Miles & Sensei.
