Elvis Presley has debuted at #1 on the Australian singles chart today with "A Little Less Conversation", following suit from the #1 debut in the UK last week. This is yet another monumental achievement for Elvis, with the single achieving Platinum status in its very first week of sales.

The phenomenal success of "A Little Less Conversation" proves that the popularity of Elvis has never waned. In Australia this week, Elvis doubled the sales of his nearest competitor Eminem. Even though Eminem claims in his latest single "Though I'm not the first King of controversy, I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley", Elvis has come back to smash the sales of this imposter and confirm his position as King.

"A Little Less Conversation" is also #1 in the UK for the second week running, beating British darlings Oasis for the top spot. With Elvis easily outrunning artists such as Holly Valance, Eminem, Kylie and Oasis in sales, The King affirms his reign on popular music, showing that even the hottest new artists cannot outdo the King.

The last #1 single Elvis held in Australia was in July 1969, with his single "In The Ghetto", making it now 33 years since his last smash. "A Little Less Conversation" is also at #1 on the Australian Club Chart, and #7 on the Australian Airplay Chart, with phones running hot with requests for the track all across the country.

Elvis fans will be anxiously awaiting the Elvis 30 Number Ones album, to be released September 23rd this year.

This Australian #1 single is a great triumph for the man who created rock 'n' roll, and shows that Elvis has never been more relevant and alive.
