Australians have always fought for what they believe in - and for a long time Melburnians have fought for the recognition of their city as a major world dance destination. On Anzac Day Eve the fight is over, as Melbourne is officially inducted into this fellowship of dance capitals with the launch of the 'Global Underground Melbourne' CD at QBH.

Inspired by DJ Dave Seaman's four hour set at The Goods Shed in January this year, this release will sit alongside those from DJ's like Deep Dish, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, Darren Emerson, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold and the late, great Tony De Vit that have paid tribute to cities including Tokyo, Athens, Moscow, London, Singapore, LA, Buenos Aries and Tel Aviv.

For this launch, Dave Seaman returns for another Melbourne tour of duty, playing once again for an inspiring four hours and reliving that special night in January.

As well as being recognised as one of the world's top DJ's, Dave has held the position of editor at the respected 'Mixmag' publication. He also founded the Stress label, home to the early releases of Sasha, John Digweed, Full Intention and Andy from Groove Armada.

But he may be best known for being half of the Brothers In Rhythm production team who, as well as releasing their own hits like 'Such A Good Feeling', have also remixed the likes of Michael Jackson and Sting. Even more impressive though has been their writing and producing for Kylie Minogue, The Pet Shop Boys and Take That. More recently they have lent their unmistakable sound to bands such as Garbage, Pulp, Placebo and Blur.

Dave Seaman is probably the most travelled DJ in the world, having covered every continent several times over, and gracing every superclub you care to mention, including Cream, Gatecrasher and Renaissance. He's even gained the accolade of being the first ever international DJ to perform in Columbia.

For the 'Global Underground Melbourne' launch, Dave will be joined in the main room by the crack local outfit of Sean Quinn, Mark James and Kasey Taylor, with Arlen D'Silva, Dean Cherny, Sam Fraser and Luke Bowditch defending the house room.

Report for duty early, as from 10 to 11pm the DVD shot on the night at The Goods Shed will be shown on massive screens throughout QBH, giving those that were there the chance to see if they made it into the documentary.
