Cream Closes As Godskitchen Attacks

Cream have confirmed that their ten year birthday event featuring Fatboy Slim will be the last at their Liverpool headquarters.

"It's unfortunate that something that we've been involved in for the last ten years isn't performing as well," a spokesman told Radio 1 last week, explaining why they've decided to close the club.

The announcement coincided with Muzik's publication of a triumphant quote from rival Godskitchen promoter Chris Griffin who declared, "Cream and Gatecrasher are finished. No clubber gives a sh*t about their brand ethics, it's all about going out and partying your nuts off. I wish them both every success in what they decide to do next but please don't let it be clubbing."

Cream's 10 year party happens over the weekend October 11/12, with Fatboy Slim being joined by Yousef, Seb Fontaine and Tiesto. The club has also been one of the notable successes of this year's unusually tough season in Ibiza, suggesting Chris Griffin is unlikely to have heard the last of them.
