Cannabis Helps Reduce Ecstasy Harm, Scientist Says

Combining marijuana with ecstasy could reduce ecstasy's potentially harmful effects, according to a new study carried out by researchers at Sydney University.

Psychology professor Iain MacGregor reached his conclusion after feeding rats ecstasy and marijuana and discovered that the spliff smoking rodents felt less anxiousness and experienced less depletion of brain cells than rats taking only MDMA.

Rats taking pills and joints together "were no more affected than rats given no drugs or marijuana alone", the Professor also discovered (Drug Policy Alliance)
