Brits Take 2 Million Pills a Week

A secret government estimate of the number of ecstasy tablets consumed in Britain each week claims the true amount is 2million instead of the usual 500,000 "official" guess which has remained in use since the early 90s. According to the Observer, the new figure appeared in a secret "classified" report, prepared by Customs & Excise.

The report also suggested there are 430,000 regular users "perhaps taking ten or fifteen pills a night". Mix Mag readers recently admitted using around 4 pills a night, dramatically at odds with the new Customs & Excise data.
