Black Dog's Unsavoury Products: Harbingers of Doom-

Ultra credible electronic experimentalists Black dog Productions are to release a new album shortly which is intended as a tribute to radical New York author William Burroughs. The enigmatic producers, who released one of the greatest albums of the 90s, Bytes on Warp Records, collaborated with the notorious writer just months before his death last year and produced the new album as a direct result of the experience.

Featuring a spoken word performance from poet Black Sifichi that runs through all 20 tracks, the album is a highly original take on contemporary existence, packed with thought provoking statements and suggestions. The group have also recently launched a highly unusual website offering post modern door knobs and mail order food including vintage wine flavoured beer, intriguingly recommended by CJ Bolland.

The record is already attracting typically extreme reactions which fits with the band's identity since black dogs have long been seen by some as harbingers (something that foreshadows an event) of change and even doom.

The album appears to address the issue on the first track, with Black Sifichi saying, "the black dog knows the root of the evil and knows when things have to change. Don't hesitate listening to the black dog, because the black dog is only trying to do you some good. Think about it."
