Basement Jaxx Star Mugged In Brixton

Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx has become the latest victim of Brixton's escalating street crime wave, after being mugged outside his home last week. The hugely successful pop star is one of Brixton's highest profile residents, frequently promoting club nights in local venues. His assault is almost certain to be linked to the area's growing crack problems.

Chief Superintendent Moore, Lambeth's Acting Borough Commander, told the Observer this week that the crack cocaine market around Brixton tube station and Electric Avenue alone is worth £12million a year, with at least 74 more crack houses being located in the surrounding estates (projects).
