Hard dance pioneer Baby Doc and his long term singing partner S-J will be playing live in Los Angeles on November 9 at a festival raising funds to feed the homeless. The London based duo will be performing tracks from their new compilation album Never A DJ Volume 2, which features one CD of predominantly old tracks plus another showcasing their new distinctly funkier direction.

"The reason we called the first album Never A DJ was because we thought the whole world was being overrun by DJs and nobody was profiling the actual producers," Baby Doc told Skrufff recently.

"Everyone's a DJ these days. If you walk into McDonalds, the staff are all DJs and, I dare say, policemen walking down the road are DJs. It seemed like a good album title before and we still like it now."

Never A DJ Volume 2 (mixed by LJ Alexander) is out on Euroteck in October.
