BK's 8 New Years Gigs (Via Helicopter)

Nukleuz Records' star producer BK spins at no less than 8 UK clubs this New Years Eve and will be travelling to one particular event by helicopter, he told Skrufff this week.

"There's one gig in Skegness, at Fantasy Island, but there are no motorways to Skegness and with 10,000 people there, it's impossible to get in and out," said BK. "So they have a helicopter to take the DJs in and out."

"I start in Skegness at 8pm, then I've got Essence in Ipswich, Heat at Camden Palace (London), and , errrrm, I can't remember the rest. Most of the other gigs are in London so there's not much travelling involved overall."

He'll be concluding his marathon New Years Eve gigs with a set at his favourite hard dance spot Trade, where he DJed and danced at the club's recent closing party to mark the end of 12 years of weekly events.

"It was an absolutely brilliant night, probably one of the best Trade's I've ever been to," said BK.

"It was very sad though, they ended up playing ten 'last records', you know the 'one more' ones, so the club stayed open for an extra 90 minutes than originally planned," he added.

"It was open from 4am on the Sunday morning to six o'clock in the evening and we (BK and Andy Farley) were there from the beginning to the very end. We were virtually the last people to be kicked out."
