Organisers of December's Outback Solar Eclipse Festival have denied reports that their party is going to be affected by NASA demands for a ban on loud music during the total eclipse.

"Music restrictions will not apply to Lyndhurst (the rave's location)," organisers told 3D World. "The silence request was made by scientists documenting the eclipse and only applies to the coastline of Ceduna."

Eat Static and a whole host of international psy-trance types will be performing at the four day event in Australia's outback (desert), though organisers will be taking a short musical break, when the sun actually starts to disappear.

"We have always planned for silence during the actual eclipse period, that is, the afternoon/ evening of December 4," they said.
