Are Electroclash's Days Numbered-

Gigolo's man-in-London Jonas Stone (also one of the top PRs behind the current UK electroclash boom) this week suggested that the genre could be finished, on a press release accompanying his own compilation This Is Not The 80s.

"Here's a finished copy for your enjoyment," his press release announces. "Enjoy, my electro hearties- for next week we'll be out of fashion again!"

His comments followed a report in the latest issue of Music Week, predicting that
Fischerspooner are about to be licensed to Sony Music, in a move which key electro producer Felix Da Housecat nervously anticipated last month.

"I give it two years," Felix told The (UK) Times.

It's going to get big, but by the time it does I'll have walked away and done something totally new. As soon as one major label gets a sniff of it, you can kiss it goodbye."
