Dedbeat, the holiday camp weekend event based on breaks, hip hop and generally alternative styles of dance music, has sold all chalet accommodation for their upcoming event, some four weeks before its start. Featuring sets from the likes of 4 Hero, Ross Allen, the Herbalizer and Aphex Twin, the event, now in its second year, is also notable for having no "VIP" areas, meaning performers will be mingling throughout the entire weekend.

Labelling themselves a "quality alternatives to the 'meat & two veg' machine clubs", organisers also hinted their success could prompt further Dedbeat events in the summer.

"If we can make an event work at a holiday park in February in Norfolk just think what would be possible on a Mediterranean beach," they said.

Interestingly, rather than programming non-stop music for 72 hours, the event has built in official quiet times, with musical breaks occurring between 7am and mid day on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Day tickets are still available for £55.00.
