36 year old British tourist Adam Colgate was jailed for 35 days this week, after being caught importing 2 ecstasy pills and an eighth of cannabis in Ayia Napa (Daily Star). His friend Michael Quarrington received a 70 day sentence for being found in possession of 17 grams of puff (just over half an ounce) with a further 15 Brits being nicked for drugs offences during the last two weeks, the Star said.

The arrests come as part of a continuing crackdown against drug users and English hooligans, though Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood luckily escaped arrest, despite being spotting fighting in Ayia Napa's streets this week by the Daily Mirror's 3am girls (gossip columnists).

According to the Mirror, the 45 year old Bishop's son and his entourage became involved in a mass brawl with a rival music business playa, sparked by Westwood meeting his rival on the street with the greeting, "get the fuck out of my way".

Fellow Radio 1 DJs the Dreem Team reportedly broke up the fight.
