UK dance sensations Way Out West were passengers on Sydney-bound Qantas flight 426 that made an emergency landing at Melbourne airport yesterday, shortly after take off.

Thankfully they weren't hurt and were able to catch another flight to Sydney to prepare for Gatecrasher on Saturday December 1 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Way Out West are in Australia to promote the release of their new album "Intensify" and to appear at the Gatecrasher festival in Melbourne (last weekend) and Sydney. "Intensify" is Way Out West's second album and follows their 1997 eponymously titled debut, which spawned four singles including the UK Top 10 "The Gift", arguably one of the best dance tracks of 1997.

Gatecrasher is tipped to be the most spectacular dance event this country has ever seen and Way Out West will join dance music heavyweights De La Soul, Masters At Work, Luke Slater, Roni Size, James Lavelle and Australia's own Endorphin on the Gatecrasher line-up.
