Return to The Source's Journey Ends

Pioneer trance promoters Return to The Source have gone into liquidation following two reportedly 'disastrous' events at the club's spiritual home Brixton Academy. The psi-trance specialists launched off the back of the Goa trance scene in 1994, and became central characters behind the development of today's worldwide trance scene. In recent years, however, they've faced increasingly stiff competition from mainstream clubs and more recently, upcoming hard house events.

Commenting on their unfortunate demise, founder Phil Ross explained, 'the last two Brixton Academy gigs were the straws that broke the camel's back. The venue became saturated with similar events. We're very unhappy obviously, not least about the financial situation and not being able to pay all the creditors. But life has to go on, we can't dwell on it for too long."

Founder RTTS member Tsuyoshi remains connected with the organisation and releases a mix CD for them shortly, called Tokyo Trance Underground."
