Norman 'Fatboy Slim' Cook's 'only defining moment' from the last 10 years of dance culture was 'dropping his first ecstasy pill' he told DJ magazine last week in the magazine's 10 year birthday issue. "I was into black music and I thought that house was too fast to dance to, until I took ecstasy at a Boys Own weekender at Butlins," Cook recalled. "I remember hearing Darren Emerson mixing two copies of 'I'll Be Your Friend' and suddenly realising why people were dancing to this music. My career, personal life and general happiness have been on an upward curve ever since.". .
