Pacha London vs Ministry; Kick off December 21st

The two biggest clubbing brands in the world Pacha and Ministry of Sound begin competing directly for London clubbers this weekend, as Pacha London's SW1. headquarters finally open their doors. The contest is likely to be even more intense than Ministry's previous tussle with Home, judging by comments in this week's Guardian, in which style journo Jack Peretti compared Pacha owner Rocardo Urgellas with Ministry's James Palumbo.

"Unlike Ministry's James Palumbo, a hard nosed businessman through and through, Ricardo is essentially a hippy raver at heart," he said.

"Unlike Ministry of Sound, Urgellas never over-exploited the brand potential of Pacha, making scummy bomber jackets with a cherry logo on top."
