Hard trance producer John 'OO' Fleming is set to release his bootleg style remix of Simple Minds' 80's anthem Belfast Child, on the same label that Simple Minds are signed to, Nebula (an offshoot of Virgin). Belfast Trance started life as a tool for Fleming's worldwide DJ sets and rapidly became a firm favourite at trance palaces Gatecrasher and Slinky (not least because of its take-no-prisoners massive breakdown). After emerging as a white label earlier this year, the record's now gaining a full UK release which includes a new vocal remix.

Fleming's track coincides with a new Simple Minds compilation "The Best of Simple Minds", featuring all their pop hits from the mid 80s plus a couple of their earlier tracks from when they justifiably known as groundbreaking electronic experimentalists (Theme For Great Cities remains a Balearic classic).

Belfast Trance is out on the 12th December. The Best Of Simple Minds is out now.
