Ibiza Storms Lash San Antonio's Sunset Strip

Ibiza beach bar Cafe Mambo (located on San Antonio's Sunset Strip alongside Cafe Del Mar) lost their beach last week, following unseasonal storms which lashed the coastline. The Cafe had previously shipped in tons of sand to improve their strip of otherwise rocky beach and admitted this week they were 'dismayed' by the turn of events. A spokesperson added that 'they are hoping to bring more sand back in again but only when the weather brightens up.'

The storms prompted the strip's newest bar Coastline to abandon their own plans for beautifying their own section of waterfront. "I think we might keep the rocks at the front of the bar now, and create a landscaped path instead," said Coastline manager Mo Chaudry (Ananova). Monday daytime club DC10 was also damaged by last week's storms, which were so intense they destroyed one of the club's perimeter walls.
