DJ Top 100: Radio 1 Losers

All the main DJs from Radio 1 lost support on this year's DJ magazine poll suggesting the hugely influential station could be losing its edge. Pete Tong, the station's most important DJ, slid 14 places to 35 while Judge Jules, increasingly resembling his 80s predecessor Gary Davies, dropped out of the top 10, losing 5 places to 11. However, reading too much into the data is unwise, since this year's poll saw unprecedented marketing efforts, skewing the results firmly towards those with the pushiest PRs (or biggest online fanbases).

Faces to drop out of the hundred included acid techno stalwart D.A.V.E The Drummer (who usually plays live instead of DJing anyway) and Josh Wink, who's never quite matched the success from his Higher States of Consciousness days of the mid 90s. Jon Carter's marriage to Radio 1 presenter Sara Cox also doesn't appear to have done him any favours, Carter dropping 35 places to 91. Skrufff collaborator Graham Gold also had a tough year slipping to 93, though redeemed himself by suggesting you're "as young as the girl you feel".
