Earthdance this Saturday in Melbourne

The world's biggest dance event is on again. Unifying over 1 million people across the globe .



October 14th, 2000 will be the host to the fourth annual Earthdance, a one day GLOBAL DANCE PARTY uniting over 80 cities in 40 countries. The event was created with the aim of uniting the positive energy of electronic music and dance culture in support of world peace and healing. This year's Earthdance will focus on four global causes: The environment, the indigenous peoples, the well being of children and Tibet.

All the parties will happen around the planet simultaneously with the highlight of the event being a synchronized dance floor link up (12 midnight GMT, 10 am our time), when every DJ in every city plays a special track called "the prayer for peace" at the same time. This incredible moment will unite all the dancefloors around the world and will be broadcast live over the internet during a special 12 hour webcast.

This years party will be held at the Capsule Nite Club, Swanston Street Carlton starting 10pm till 11am cost is $20 full $15conc.

This year Peter "MAHUSUKA" Hollenbeck from Germany (Intact Instinct, Peak Pilots, Disco Slickers) will be headlining as the overseas guest, along with the best of Melbourne's talents: ) Sugar (Green Ant) ,Andrew Till (Psy Harmonics), Jayse Knipe, SwyTek, Pixleton, Dominic Hogan, Ganga Giri (live), Kandyman.

Trancformations from VooDoo, Sioux, Shiva's Reign, Bee/Art, Silent Disco, Space Between The Gaps, and Free Tibet Friends. Performance Artists, Rocket Girl, Locomoptic Performers, Fuzzy (percussion group), and Special Guests Video Jockies & Web Casts : BLTC, Techno Magic. Wholesome Foods, Chai Tea, Market Stalls. All monies raised will be donated to help Free Tibet.
